Gift Aid · Separate from payment
Let your gift go further.
If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets the church claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you. An eligible £25 gift becomes £31.25. This form does not take a payment; it gives the charity permission to claim on a gift you have already made.
How your declaration is handled
Your declaration is stored securely in the church's database. Your name, address, optional email and donation details are encrypted, and the exact declaration wording, version and time you agreed are kept as a record. Only authorised finance staff can view declarations, and every access is logged. We will not use these details for marketing.
HMRC requires Gift Aid declarations to be kept for six years after the most recent donation on which Gift Aid was claimed, so we retain your record for that period.
To correct your details, cancel your declaration or ask about your record, contact finance@thelightshouse.org with your declaration reference. Please do not send bank or card details by email.
